- Q1: What is Google Cloud Print?
A: Google Cloud Print is a printing service that enables users to print documents from the cloud using Google Cloud Print enabled applications. You can print anytime, anywhere using your PC or Smartphone by registering an Epson Google Cloud Print ready printer with Google Cloud Print.For more details, please refer to Google Cloud Print's

- Q2: What do I need to do before I register my printer with the Google Cloud Print service?
A: Confirm the following:
- Your printer must be Google Cloud Print-ready.
- Your printer needs access to your network and the internet.
- You need a Google account. You will need to
register an account if you don't already have one.
- Make sure the XMPP port 5222 is not blocked (especially in office LAN environments).
- Q3: How do I access my printer's web interface?
A: You can access the Printer Status Screen via a web browser using PCs, Smart phones and Notebooks.
- Q4: How do I print using Google Cloud Print?
A: You will need an application that supports Google Cloud Print. For more information see the application's help file or documentation. For more details, please refer to Google Cloud Print's
Help page.
- Q5: Which Epson printers support Google Cloud Print?
A:The following Epson models are Google Cloud Print ready:

- Q6: Can I use Google Cloud Print in IPv6 environment?
A: You can't use Google Cloud Print within an IPv6 only environment. Only IPv4 environments are currently supported with Google Cloud Print.
- Q7: What kind of applications can I use when printing from Google Cloud Print?
A: You can print from Gmail and Google Docs. More Google Cloud Print enabled applications will be available in the future. Please refer to Google Cloud Print's
Help page for details.
- Q8: Which web browsers are compatible with Google Cloud Print?
A:Google Cloud Print supports the Chrome web browser. Other browsers are not guaranteed to work with the site.
Registering Your Epson Printer
- Q9: How do I register my printer with Google Cloud Print?
A:To register your printer with Google Cloud Print:
1. Make sure your printer has been added to your network. Please setup the printer's network connection using the printers software disc, if it has not already been completed.
2. Log in to your Google account. If you don't have a Google account, create one
here .
3. Go to the Printer web interface using an internet browser.
4. Follow the on screen instructions to register your printer with Google Cloud Print
- Q10: How do I check if the printer has been successfully registered?
A: A registration confirmation sheet will be printed out after successful registration. You can also check the registration status from the Google Cloud Print website.
- Q11: How do I register a printer to Google Cloud Print from a Windows PC?
A: Do the following:
1. Select Start > All programs > EPSON Software, and then click Download Navigator in Windows.
2. Choose EPSON Printer Finder from the Download Navigator and then click Install. Please wait until the firmware update has been completed. The EPSON Printer Finder will then start automatically.
If your printer has the latest firmware and the latest EPSON Printer Finder already installed, close this window and start up EPSON Printer Finder as follows:
Select Start > All programs > EPSON Software, and then click EPSON Printer Finder.
3. Select the printer you would like to register from the list and click Open Setup Page from the Printer Status page.
The Printer Status page will then be shown in a web browser window.
4. Click Google Cloud Print Setup and follow the instructions displayed on the screen to register the printer.
- Q12: How do I register a printer to Google Cloud Print from a Mac OS X computer?
A: Do the following:
1. Download and install Download Navigator, from the Drivers & Downloads page for your printer.
2. Choose Macintosh HD > Application > Epson Software, and double-click on the Download Navigatoricon to start Download Navigator.
3. Choose EPSON Printer Finder from Download Navigator and install the following programs:
- Firmware Updater
- EPSON Printer Finder
4. Double-click Epson Firmware Updater in the Finder to update printer firmware.
5. Select Macintosh HD > Application > Epson Software, and double-click on the EPSON Printer Finder icon to start EPSON Printer Finder
6. Select the printer you would like to register from the list and click Open Setup Page from the Printer Status page.
7. The Printer Status page will be shown in a web browser window.
8. Click Google Cloud Print Setup and follow the instructions displayed on the screen to register the printer
- Q13: How do I register a printer to Google Cloud Print from an Android device?
A: Do the following:
1. Update to the latest printer firmware before registering with Google Cloud Print.
2. Download EPSON Printer Finder for Android from the Android Market.
3. Start EPSON Printer Finder.
4. Select the printer you would like to register and tap Open Setup Page from the printer selection screen.
The Printer Status page will be shown in a web browser window.
5. Tap Google Cloud Print Setup and follow the instructions displayed on the screen to register printer.
- Q14: How do I register a printer to Google Cloud Print from an iPhone, iPod touch or iPad?
A: Do the following:
1. Update to the latest printer firmware before registering with Google Cloud Print.
2. Download EPSON Printer Finder for iPhone, iPod touch or iPad from the AppStore.
3. Start EPSON Printer Finder.
4. Select the printer you would like to register and tap Open Setup Page from the printer selection screen.
The Printer Status page will be shown in a web browser window.
5. Tap Google Cloud Print Setup and follow the instructions.
- Q15: How do I register a printer to Google Cloud Print from other ChromeOS netbooks or smartphones?
A: Do the following:
1. Update to the latest printer firmware before registering with Google Cloud Print.
2. Access the Printer Status page using a web browser in one of the following ways:
- Enter URL for Printer Status page.
- Print a Network Status Sheet
For an Inkjet multifunction printer, enter Setup mode, select Wi-Fi/Network Settings > Confirm Wi-Fi/Network Settings, and then press Start.
Please refer to your printer's Network Guide for details.
- Check the Configuration URL at Google Cloud Print section on the printed Network Status Sheet.
- Open a web browser and enter the URL shown on the Network Status Sheet.
- Enter the IP address of the printer.
- Confirm the printer's IP address using one of the following:
Check the printer's network information using the printer's UI. (Supported printers only).
Print out a Network Status Sheet.Print out a Network Check Report.Start a web browser and enter the IP address from the previous step. Example: http://192.168.100.201/
3. Click [Google Cloud Print Setup] and follow the instructions displayed on the screen to register printer.
- Q16: How do I update the printer’s firmware using a Windows PC?
A: You can update the firmware using one of the methods below.
- Update from the Start menu
Click Start > All programs > EPSON > EPSON xxxxx (your printer name), and then select Driver Update.
- Update from the Taskbar
Right click the printer icon on the taskbar and select Driver Update.
- Update from the printer driver
- Display your printer's driver
(e.g. Windows7) Select Start > Control Panel, and then View devices and printers. Then right click on the printer icon and select Printing preferences from the menu.
- Click Maintenance tab, and select Driver Update.
You can confirm that the firmware was successfully updated on the printers LCD screen.
- Q17: How do I update the printer’s firmware using a Mac OS X computer?
A: Start Download Navigator and install the latest firmware where available. You can also download and update the latest firmware from Drivers & Downloads page for your printer.
- Q18: I can't register the printer to Google Cloud Print. What should I do?
A: You can only register a printer with an internet connection, check the network connection and confirm you have a working internet connection and then try again.
- Q19: Can I register my printer to Google Cloud Print when there are Proxy/DNS servers running?
A: Yes. You can set the Proxy server and DNS server settings in the printer's web interface page.
1. Display the printer's web interface page.
2. Click DNS/Proxy setup. For detailed information of the Proxy and DNS server settings, please ask your network administrator.
- Q20: Can I register my printer to Google Cloud Print if the Proxy server has a password?
A: Yes. Please setup the proxy server password using [EpsonNet Config]
- Q21: Can I re-register my printer to Google Cloud Print when my first attempt was not successful?
A: Yes. Please follow the registration steps again from the beginning.
- Q22: I can't find the registered printer. What should I do?
A: Try the following:
- Restart your printer and register it using the printer's web interface page.
- Delete the Google Cloud Print setup information in your printer by resetting the printer's network settings. Then start setup again beginning with the printer's network settings.
Network Settings
- Q23: What do the messages for XMPP in the Google Cloud Print section of the Network Status Sheet mean?
A: See the table below:

- Q25: Do I need to change my internet connection settings to use the Google Cloud Print service?
A: Generally no changes to the settings are needed if you intend to use Google Cloud Print from home. In a corporate LAN environment, please confirm that the XMPP (5222) port has not been blocked.
- Q26: I can't get Google Cloud Print to work on a corporate LAN. What should I do?
A: Confirm that the XMPP (5222) port has not been blocked. For details, please contact your network administrator.
- Q27: How can I know if my printer is connected to Google Cloud Print?
A: You can check the connection status on the:
- Printer Status page
Registered: Registered to Google Cloud Print
Connected
Disconnected
Suspended
Not registered: Has not registered to Google Cloud Print
Error: Error occurred due to the old printer firmware. Please update the firmware to the latest version.

Print Settings
- Q28: Can I change the print options?
A: Yes. Select Options on the printer selection screen. You can change the following print settings:
- Number of copies
- B&W/Colour print
- Double-sided print
- Paper Size
- Paper Type
- Paper Source
- Borderless print
- Auto Fit Page
- Q29: How do I change the number of copies?
A: Click Options, select Copies, then set the number of copies you want to print.
- Q30: Can I print in black and white?
A: Yes. To print in black and white, click Copies, B&W/Colour, then select B&W.
- Q31: Can I print multi-page documents on 1 sheet of paper?
A: No. You can't print multiple pages on 1 sheet.
- Q32: Can I print double-sided documents?
A: You can print double-sided documents if your printer supports automatic duplex printing. Click Options, and then select 2-sided printing.
Note that you can only print double-sided documents on A4 and Letter-size plain paper.
- Q33: Can I select the paper size?
A: Yes. Click Options, and then select Paper Size. When the printer's paper size and the size selected in the application do not match, the printer will use the size selected in the application. If you would like to print with the selected paper size, please select Auto Fit Page.
- Q34: Can I select the paper type?
A: Yes. Click Options, and then make a selection from the Paper Type menu.
- Q35: Can I select the paper source?
A: Yes. Click Options and then make a selection from the Paper Source menu. The selected paper source may change depending on the paper size and type selected. The paper source(s) may be different on some printers. Please refer to the printer's user manual for details.
- Q36: Can I print borderless photos?
A: Yes. Click Options, and then select Borderless. The image may be cropped as the printer will print the image to fit the selected paper size. Please note that some printers may not support borderless printing. Please refer to the printer's user manual for details. Also, the photos may be printed with a border even when the Borderless option is selected, depending on the paper size and type selected.
- Q37: Can I fit my print out to the selected paper size?
A: Yes. Click Options, Paper Size, and then select Auto Fit Page. The print out is automatically reduced or enlarged to fit the selected paper size. The image may be cropped as the data will be reduced or enlarged while keeping the image's aspect ratio. (The base point is the centre of the paper).
- Q38: Can I select the orientation of the print?
A: Yes. Click Options, and then select from the Orientation menu.
- Q39: Can I print the pages in reverse order?
A: Yes. Click Options, and turn on Reverse Order.
- Q40: Can I cancel the print?
A: Yes. You can use the printer buttons to cancel the current print job. Please refer to your printer's user's guide for details. If the print job has not started, you can delete the print job from the Google Cloud Print printer/job status and management UI.
Suspend and Resume Google Cloud Print
- Q41: How do I temporarily suspend the Google Cloud Print service?
A: To suspend Google Cloud Print, click the Suspend button on the Printer Web Interface. The print job will be queued on the Google Cloud Print server. The job will be printed when service resumes. Please be aware that the queued job may be automatically deleted after a set period of time.
- Q42: How do I resume the Google Cloud Print service?
A: You can resume Google Cloud Print from the Printer Web interface.
Delete a Printer
- Q43: How do I delete my printer from Google Cloud Print?
A: You can delete a printer from the Printer Web Interface using a web browser.
- Display the Printer Web Interface
- Click Google Cloud Print Setup
- Click Delete
Follow the instructions displayed on the screen.
You can also delete your printer from Google's printer/job status and management UI. Please restart your printer power when using this method.
- Q44: Why can't I delete a registered printer?
A: Make sure the printer is correctly connect to the internet and delete the printer from the Printer Web interface using a web browser.
If you can't delete the printer from the Printer Web interface, reset the printer's network settings from the control panel. The printer will still appear on Google Cloud Print, but you won't be able to use Google Cloud Print with that printer until the printer is deleted from Google's printer/job status and management UI.
